Indian Men.....

Working in a desi company full of desi men in the US is quite a unique experience for everyone involved !! Here is an instance....
A few days ago, an ABCD (American Born Confused Desi) intern came to me....she says....very hesitantly...I need to ask you a question....Is there something wrong with what I am wearing?
I look at her....she’s wearing a tight tank top with jeans....A tad casual for the workplace but nothing wrong with it...so I say....No, you look good ...why do you ask?
She says ...Are you sure....coz one of the guys just told me that I shouldn’t dress this way .. people in the office “talk”......so I am confused... what should I do? I always dress like this... I am so embarrassed...
I nearly jump off my chair....the emancipated woman within me lashes out.....You wear what you want....this is nonsense... She thanks me and leaves...
Then I sit back to think.....should I confront this guy? How dare he talk to her this way ...just coz she looks Indian?? Would he say this to an American girl? Or maybe I should just let this go? ...I know what he’s  thinking....the average desi male mind-set.... is he trying to look out for her?...he means well......or does he??.....should I tell this girl to dress more “appropriately” to avoid such situations...No way!!  WE ARE IN AMERICA!!....this is ridiculous.....and for once I am at a total loss!!
