Put about 100 bricks in some
Particular order in a closed
Room with an
Open window.

Then send 2 or 3 candidates in
The room and close the door.

Leave them alone and come back
After 6 hours and then analyze
The situation.

If they are counting the
Bricks.
Put them in the accounts
Department.

If they are recounting them..
Put them in auditing
.

If they have messed up the
Whole place with the bricks.
Put them in engineering.

If they are arranging the
Bricks in some strange order.
Put them in planning.

If they are throwing the
Bricks at each other.

Put them in operations
.

If they are sleeping.
Put them in security.

If they have broken the bricks
Into pieces.
Put them in information
Technology.

If they are sitting idle.
Put them in human resources.

If they say they have tried
Different combinations, yet

Not a brick has
Been moved. Put them in sales.

If they have already left for
The day.
Put them in marketing.

If they are staring out of the
Window.
Put them on strategic
Planning.

And then last but not least.
If they are talking to each

Other and not a single brick
Has been

Moved.

Congratulate them and put them
In top management.

You Just Might Be A Networker If...

• You refer to your kids as your Downline.

• You refer to your spouse as your Upline.

• You have a garage full of water filters.

• You have a wallet full of pre-paid phone cards.

• You refer to friends and relatives as your warm market.

• You no longer have a warm market.

So everyone has encountered this at some point of time - desi guys selling MLM (Multi-level Marketing) to other desis. The other day I got a call from a guy who I met while waiting to be seated at an Indian restaurant. Nice guy, and our kids got along great as well.

Well he calls me and says that its been a while (5 months, and I was surprised he even had my number) and that he wanted to talk to someone entrepreneurial, and he believed I was that (that got my attention!).

And then, he wanted to meet me right away to discuss his new eCommerce venture. I said sure, let's meet at the nearest starbucks. No, No he says, its gotta be at your house. Hmm. why? I ask. Well, its important I meet you in person, he says. OK I agree rather naively.

Immediately after that, my wife asks me - did you consider that he may be from Amway?! Whoopsie. I call him back, and ask him politely - is this for Quixtar? He says YES! So I slowly start to back out of this, but its not easy.

Me: "Sorry Im not interested"

Him:"But Why?"

"doesn't work for me"

"why ?"

"not for my personality type"

"have you tried it?"

"yes, in the past" (been accosted several times to attend the cult meetings)

"what level were you involved at?" ,"it is a great source of income" yada yada

Just managed to squeeze out of it. Whew!

 Apparently,
